Security Enhancements

All of the projects in the current plan will contribute to enhanced security in City Park by encouraging positive use. Positive use, by it's nature, drives out individuals who would use the park for illegal activities.But there is also a need to take more direct steps to enhance security. Our goal is to build on the success of Neighborhood Watch by implementing an "Internet Enhanced" Neighborhood Watch program.
The plan is to introduce a video surveilance system in the park that can be monitored remotely via the Internet. Neighborhood Watch volunteers will use this sytem to establish a "virtual presence" in the park. Even when we can't be there in person, we will still be watching out for the safety of our neighborhood.
